A Tribute to the Father of the Nation and a
Visionary Leader
Gandhi Jayanti, celebrated on 2nd October
every year, marks the birth anniversaries of two of India’s most iconic leaders
— Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and Lal Bahadur Shastri, India’s
second Prime Minister. Our school observed this significant day with great
reverence and enthusiasm, paying homage to the ideals and values upheld by
these great personalities.
The morning began with a solemn assembly in
the school ground. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp
followed by the floral tribute placed before the portraits of Gandhiji and
Shastriji. The atmosphere was filled with respect and reflection as students
and teachers united to honor their legacy.
The programme started with welcome Speech
by the Head Disciplinarian, Mr. Arshad Fuzail followed by Thematic Dance by
Class 1 on Sabarmati Sant followed by Patriotic Group Song — Bande Mein Tha
Dum, performed by the school choir under the guidance of Mr. Shivendra
Singh.Recitation by students of the Junior Wing won the hearts of everyone.
Each performance beautifully captured the
essence of truth, non-violence, humility, and service — the very values
Gandhiji and Shastriji lived by. The audience was deeply moved and inspired by
the sincere efforts of the participants.
Our respected Principal appreciated the
efforts of all participants and staff, emphasizing the importance of living by
Gandhian principles in today’s world.
