Earth Day is celebrated on April,22nd every year to promote environmental
protection and sustainability. We have organized a vibrant and engaging
celebration with each class participating in unique environment-related
activities designed to raise awareness and promote eco-friendly habits.
The event commenced with a special morning
assembly, featuring a speech on Earth Day , followed by a pledge to protect and
preserve our planet.
To ensure active participation and deeper
understanding, each class was assigned a different activity:
Class 1 – 2: Coloring and Drawing Activity on
topics like “My Green Earth” and “Save Trees.”
Class 3 – 4: Plant a Sapling – students
brought saplings from home and planted them in the school garden.
Class 5 – 6: Poster-Making Competition on
environmental themes such as “Say No to Plastic” and “Clean Air, Healthy Life.”
Class 7 – 8: Slogan-Writing and Wall Display –
students created impactful slogans and displayed them around the school.
Class 9 – 10: Eco-Friendly Craft Making using
recyclable and reusable materials.
Class 11 – 12: Debate and Group Discussion on
topics like “Climate Change is Real” and “Individual Action for Global Impact.”
In addition, an exhibition was set up to
showcase the student’s eco-projects and artwork. Teachers and students visited
the stalls and appreciated the creativity and commitment shown by their peers.
The day concluded with a short cultural
program and prize distribution for the winners in each activity. The Principal
applauded the students’ efforts and reminded everyone that small actions lead
to big changes.
